We made a reservation for Friday evening to celebrate our anniversary. We were sat right away at a small table near the window. A nice New York kind of spot. They have a limited entree list just so you are aware. I ordered the salmon dish (not wild caught) of which was very good. The wife ordered the pork chop and she shared a bite with me...we had a couple of adult beverages that added a nice touch to the meal. Also ordered a couple of side dishes that motivated our taste buds. We ordered bread and butter (it was a $10 cost) so be prepared...everything is a la carte as is most high end establishments. The staff here were very attentive to our table. Complementary champagne for our anniversary. Valet parking is a must for easy in and out-cost was $12 + tip. Overall it was a very nice experience...

Service was great! The server was very attentive. The food was great. I got the cheeseburger with an added egg. The flavor of the meat was awesome. I would go back again.

My company comes here on a yearly basis for lunch after an annual conference downtown. They're always accommodating of a large party (20+) within an hour's notice. We tried lots of different apps, lobster hot dogs, steak tartare, a cheese dip, oysters. Their elderflower gimlet was very light and good! For entrees, I ordered the lobster tomato bisque, which was delicious, especially on a fall day. I think one of the best parts of our experience was the banter with our server, Brian. He was great, always informed us about where our food was or when it was coming out, timely with refills, great to joke with. 10/10 on service. Excited to return with our group next year!

What an enchanting evening, thanks to the staff at Ella! I was on the wait-list for The Kitchen, and received an email inviting me to dine at Ella - really glad I did. I mean, it's lobster time at Ella! Started with some sparkling wine and lobster Corn Dogs. Dinner was Lobster Bouillabaisse for me and Grilled Brandt Beef Tenderloin for my dining partner. We added Spiced Nantes Carrots and Wood Oven Roasted Broccoli to round out the meals. Dessert was Strawberry Cobbler and Lemon Tart. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned and beautifully plated. Service was outstanding with the right amount of presence and invisibility too. The restaurant atmosphere was elegant and a bit romantic, since we were seated in a corner table of the cozy booth. Can't wait to come back. Thank you Ella for making an enchanted evening so wonderful.

Monday at 1130am opening, plenty of folks arriving at for lunch. We were drawn in by the special offer of the Capitol Plate lunch and free valet parking. We added an appetizer of Japanese sweet potato chips with onion dip and a couple of non-alcoholic cocktails, the pomegranate gingerade and blueberry pomegranate lemonade. Attentive, professional and pleasant service was a delight.

Food, drink and ambiance was great but service was definitely lacking which is a big shock as I have been many times before with excellent service. Reservations were even made weeks in advance and arrived a few minutes beforehand. There seemed to be server confusion over who was assigned to the table and as such we were not assisted and had to ask if someone was assigned to our table and could take our order after waiting 15 -20 min. Unfortunately there were no apologies even though we were very kind and considerate in the request. It took another 15 -20 minutes to get drinks while tables seated after us had food and drinks already. I will be back as I love the ambiance and food and consider it an off day.

I went there for lunch based on the picture from yelp. Right off the bat, I really wasn't inspired by the current lunch menu; there was just nothing interesting for my taste. I ended up ordering a caesar salad, the onion dip, and a panna cotta desert. Everything was absolutely amazing! beautiful and super tasty.

I come to Ella a few times a year since I work nearby. I celebrate special occasions with family and friends, and I also stop in for a drink at the bar by myself sometimes. The bartenders are legit. Cocktails here are always really good. My go-to food item is the bone marrow. I often order it as my entree. This last occasion, while I was having dinner with co-workers, I left hungry. The grilled bread has been replaced but really thin crostini. My marrow was overcooked, so there wasn't much there. It was also overly salty. I really hope this was an isolated incident.

Really classy place. Came in for a business lunch on a Tuesday and it was packed. Had Annie constraint due to a flight so we were in a rush. Seated after about a 5 minute wait -outside. Was a nice day so was ok Ordered an old fashioned and it was really good. Bourbon selection here is amazing. Have every allocated bottle you'd want. Tried the prawn app as well as the Manila clams. Shrimp was cooked perfectly with a tangy sauce and shaved horseradish over the top. Went right to the nose but was was delicious Clams were really good too. Lot of flavors with sausage and cheese clams. Different for sure. Only knock was clams were full of sand, everyone at the table was crunching loudly Ordered the salmon entree and it was good. Fresh salmon over a pea purée. Very tasty Service was ok, we were in a rush and let them know but still seemed slow. Most people, including myself enjoy a paced dining experience so no fault to them for the pace.
